Forever 21 in Winnipeg

Been obsessing about Forever21 lately! Why? Forever 21 just opened last weekend here in my city and its the first one ever here in Winnipeg and people like me who likes to bargain with clothes and accessories that are trendy went crazy! Before I buy F21 items only when we go to the States! My nearest F21 location that I know is the one in Fargo ND that is like 4hrs drive LOL! They have F21 all over Canada but its nowhere near my city! So Saturday it opened but I didn't had the chance to go because I was somewhere else that day that I totally missed the whole grand opening deal! And the first 300 lined up will get a 100CDN gift card! Also in every purchase will get a mystery item! Oh well whatever ahaha! I went there the first time on a Sunday and here's what I got! I didn't go too crazy about it just few things that I really like!


A slouchy stripe top! I love the color combo grey and pink! I love slouchy tops like these to hide the bulge in your mid-section ahaha!


I got another heart necklace! Been obsessing with hearts too! I have a few heart necklaces actually but I like this one because the chain is long like my previous one that its so old that I need a new one! Forever 21 jewelries are cheap and don't expect to last long!


Last thing that I got was this nailpolish! I love the color its a dark blue and its called "magnetism"! I got this when I was about to pay and its just near the counter and I saw the color and fell inlove! I don't have the color so I figured for the price of $3.80 its worth it! Polish is creamy but a little bit streaky but its ok! With a nice top coat it'll last for days!

Today its me and Bf's day off so I am dragging him to come with me to the mall and maybe give him a little tour at F21 ahaha! Not like he cares or anything but actually he is a bit curious of what I've been obsessing about the store! Its almost my bday anyways so *wink*wink* LOL!

Yeah...Sunday!

Went to run some errands! Well....my daughter keeps visiting the pet store all the time if we go to the mall so yep I bought her a fish! Beta fish that she named "Goldie" haha she's so cute that she even kiss her fishie goodnight in the bowl when she went to bed! lol! I also bought candles from Bath and Body Works! This is my 2nd set because I went to buy 2 last week and today they still have the 2 for $25CDN deal so I grab 2 more with the same scents that I bought before! Taking advantage with the sale! I love it, it think this is a start of my candle obsession! No kidding I want to collect candles now but sometimes strong scents gives me headaches so I am careful on picking out scents! I got the "fresh cotton" and "pineapple orchid"! Ahhh-mazzing scents!

After malling and a little bit of grocery shopping! Time to clean up the house! I have to pick up Lauren's toys everywhere, put away groceries, change bedsheets, and of course my never ending laundry! While Lauren is busy with Goldie the beta fishie....I put my headphone on my cellphone and put on some music and Im good to go with my PJ bottoms lol! And by 6pm I started cooking so by 7:30ish the bf from work can eat supper! That's my Sunday yo! :P

Late Post, Haul and More

It's been almost a month now but I'm going to show u guys anyways lol! Me and the BF spend Valentines a little bit later than the actual date as I mentioned it on my previous post! We went for dinner at our favorite restaurant Moxies and then we went to watch a late movie in a cheap seats, "Little Fockers" is such an awesome movie and so funny! We had such a good time!

Dinner I got my Valentines present and it was a surprise...well I was surprised lol! I got my BF a DVD "shutter island" yep...nothing fancy but we agreed that we will not spend too much on gifts because its only Valentines! When I saw the gift bag said Swarovski I was like hmmmm and when I opened it oh myyyyy! I love the ring you can view the ring on the website here! I am wearing it everytime I go out, just sparkly and shiny and soooo pretty! I soooo love it and I love him sooooo sooo much! <333

On to my haul....I got the OPI's much talk about Shatter polish "black shatter" and a Rimmel base/top coat polish! I went to Walmart to pick up another Wet and Wild color icon pallete in "greed" (246) and a Maybelline Mascara "Falsies" I heard so much good reviews about this mascara and they are on sale for $3.99 lol! At Winners I got the Instant Lip Volume and to tell you the truth I don't know what brand its called but they are made in Italy! Smells good and not sticky, also the taste is so goood kinda like a candy!


We are trying to get the house look more like a home, so we are slowly getting more house things lately! Like this clock I bought it cheap at Winners (kinda like TJmaxx here in Canada!) I thought its going to look big on our dinning wall but it look so good with the newly painted walls....tnx babe for painting! lol!


Curtains and this rod was cheap at JYSK! Just a simple black rod and white flowy kinda like c-thru curtains is perfect! Very relaxing and soft looking in the bedroom windows!


Beige and Cream satin Curtains for the Dining room! I love the Material and they are on sale too from JYSK!


Lauren's Princess room! She really loves her room but unfortunately she don't sleep yet on her own! We are trying to put her to bed on her own but she kept going back to our room! But eventually she will sleep by herself, its just takes time I guess :P!

Again...LG!

So what do you know....another cellphone to play with! To think that I will get a blackberry again but nope I switch to LG! Life is Good with this Optimus One cellphone! ahaha! I'm surprise to even love this phone to begin with! I thought there is nothing special but boy I was wrong! This phone got the latest Android 2.2, I want to get the Optimus 7 instead but I don't want to spend too much on a phone that I'm not really familliar with!


There is a story behind of getting this phone?! Nope its simple actually, after giving my BF a new LG keybo cellphone for his bday last year and he loves it, we went out and feel inlove with our new LG plasma TV we bought last New year and I figured when Telus Mobility came out with this new LG Optimus I look it up online for reviews and I thought right away I will like it! So what happen to my Blackberry? ughmm I send it over for a repair, keyboard is fucked so yeah I guess I got no luck in owning a blackberry! Down with 3 blackberries and none of them last ahaha! After repair I will just sell it and not bother switching back!

EOS Circle Lens

I'm a contact wearer roughly 10 yrs now, my first colored contacts that I bought was the Freshlook Colorblends in Grey and then I also tried the Honey/brown! I like how natural looking in a sense that it blends in with your natural eye color! But the only thing that I dont like was its very uncomfortable and my eyes easily gets tired in like couple hours wearing them! I used eyedrops to keep my eyes hydrated because its very drying!

I wear a prescription contacts from time to time now and only wear my colored ones on special occasions! But a lot of beauty gurus and beauty bloggers like Eki and Adriyah rave about circle lenses! So I joined the band wagon and ordered mine at PinkyParadise.com Shipping is ok it took 2wks to get here in Canada, its ok I guess because it came from Malaysia! But I was happy with the contact lens! I got freebies too because I used Eki's code from her site! I got a cute contact case and a hair bow fringe!

A really quick review about these lenses. I wore it couple times already and my first time putting it on was....oh wow its so hard to put it on! It doesn't really stick to my fingertips at all! Maybe its just the way I put on my lenses! But in like few tries I did put it on! I did bring my cute contact case and eyedrops with me just incase my eyes gets tired! Surprisingly in an hour dinner and couple hours of Movies and also we went to get our groceries done for at least an hour! I didn't feel a thing on my eyes! Not even a feeling of being dry or tired from wearing it! I even wore it around the house afterwards putting away groceries, cooking and doing the laundry! lol! Overall I love them and I will probably order to try the grey ones and another brown! Oh the pink ones too for fun :P Sorry the picture below is scary...its been a long day hihihi!

Valentine Nails?! I'm a Chef?!

So Valentine's Day is on a Monday this year. It really suck because now that I have someone to spend that special day and duhhhh we both work hmp! Oh well we decided to postponed it on our days off, Friday it is! We will go have our dinner date on our fave restaurant, go home then relax, maybe pop in a romantic movie hmm maybe have a glass of wine, thennnnn celebrate our love all night long bwahahah jk! Well we are all adults here so y'all know what I mean! LOL!

Valentines is all about reds, pinks, hearts, etc but for me I want to change it up a little so for Valentines my nail color will be something like Tiffany blue with sparkles! I thought its a cute combo! I used China Glaze's "For Audrey" and Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear in "Strobe Light #11" Excuse my oh so dry not-done cuticles I still have to do a real manicure and pedicure in a nail salon since I'm itching to get one this wkend :)



Last Friday on my day off I drag my Boyfriend and my baby girl to eat at this restaurant called "Idol Asian Cuisine"! My co-worker recommend it to me and brag how good the food there! Surprisingly I love the food! You pick and cook your food in the middle of the table! BF and I had so much fun even Lauren had a blast eating there! They call it Korean BBQ but in some places they call it "Shabu-shabu" oh well I guess we will be back there again soon :)

Family Dinner

Last wkend (Saturday) we went to Charlee's Restaurant and Lounge to celebrate my brother's bday and my sis-inlaw's bday! Double celebration indeed! Plus we watched my brother play drums in his pretty cool band "Side F/X" wooot! Nowadays my family only get together with dinners or lunches when there is special occasions like bdays and holidays, so we dont see all that much anymore! By the way....picture heavy, well not really lol!

Lately.......

Well hello! lol! Of course I am updating my blog finally.....but OMG its so hectic for the past couple of weeks for me! First of all, I got a job offer as a Associate Lab Technician at the world's largest eyewear company! I feel so blessed to be part of it! So anyways I quit my old job and started this new job the following week and the week in between, me and my daughter finally moved in to my boyfriend's house! See?! so busy and there are always things going on in my hands this past few days! I feel so exhausted! I hate moving! Just the thought of packing everything and thennnnnnn unpack is crazy ridiculous! grrrr! And our weather here in Winnipeg is freaking North Pole that don't cooperate with our moving time ha! My dad help us with my big things like my bed and my dresser. Its been couple wks now but i still have boxes everywhere in the house staring at me to unpack them but its just im so exhausted from work because i'm not used to working nights *sigh* but once i get used to my new work schedule I have all this projects to do around the house lined up ahaha!

New Things....

This is just a quick post because someone is too lazy to work on an actual blogpost in the computer and upload pictures from the camera....yUp ME! So pardon me if this will be short or NOT! And also pics are blurry/crap I'm using my BB to update this! Hmmm! Oh well...LOL!

This new year I won't be doing any resolution but its nice to change up and commit into something better to yourself! And so I told myself I will extra take care of my skin! Its gross when I look at the mirror and my cheeks and nose is flaking dry but at work its so freaking oily on my chin and t-zone, I mean wuts up with that?! Ahaha! So I did my research and obviously Clinique 3steps came up! I tried this b4 and it didn't work for me because I had break outs in the past so I stop using it! I switch to Pro-activ but it keeps my face so dry but pimple free though! Clinique lady in the counter suggested the Dramatically Different Moisturizer in GEL! Not the Lotion because apparently its way too rich for my skin and that maybe caused for me to break out before! Gave me a lil sample to try out and after a week I'm SOLD! My skin was softer and smoother! Flake free on our harsh winter! I noticed too that I'm not too oily on my tzone and chin anymore at work! Also at the Clinique counter she suggested me to try out the wash away Cleanser! Don get me wrong I love my Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Foam but when I tried the Clinique I am amazed! It takes off makeup it one easy step, leaves the skin clean, refresh and so much better :P! Price wise? It ain't cheap! But when I llok around in the drugstore for a good daily moisturizer they cost around $20CDN! The Clinique Moisturizer (gel) 125ml cost $31CDN+taxes and the Cleanser cost $23CDN+taxes! I mean its a good buy nonetheless its important the have health skin anyway! Right?! I'm hoping to keep this up not only this year ahaha!

So next...I also went to MAC but not the same day I went to Clinique but I think a week after! I want to check out the new collections but nah didn't amuse me much but I liked one Lipgloss! They are called "Kissable Lipcolour" the lip container is slimmer to their Dazzleglass/Cremesheen glass but I think u'll get the same amount on their Lipglass! I got the shade of "super"! (Better pics next time!) Its a pretty shade of natural pink but on the brown side :/ if that makes any sense duh! Then I got eyeshadow in "brule`" I wanted a highlight on my browbone but I don't want any shimmer so this one is perfect! I also did a back2mac and I got "all that glitters" (not pictured) I love the shade I just don't know y I don't have it in my MAC e/s collection because its a pretty color!

Last thing...on amazon.ca I got the book "toddlers gone wild" by Rebecca Eckler! If you are a mommy like me then I recommend reading this book and also her first one "wiped"! Its a fun book! I love it! One of the things I wanna do more this year is to read books! At least 12 books in a year, works out to be 1book in a month! Sounds like I could do that! Its only January and this is my 3rd book already! I'm on track!

So in summary: Healthy skin and more books to read in 2011!

Wow! I can't believe this is the first day of this year! I hope I will have a good 2011 ahead of me! I won't be having a New Years Resolution because for sure I will break them in a week or two lol!! But there is going to be a major change though in my life and if you are reading my previous post couple months ago I mentioned, me and my daughter will be moving in at my BF's house at the end of this month ughhh actually I'm getting really excited! Last Wednesday me and my love went to Best Buy looking for a brandnew TV! We want either Samsung or LG but we decided to get the LG 42" TruSlim Frame Plasma TV, so perfect and we both love it! We also started to buy some minor house decorations like a little frame that has "cafe de paris" courtesy of Winners! I love that store all their house decor and everything have reasonable prices! I put the frame beside the kitchen counter where the wine and fruit basket which I found them at a thrift store for cheap! :) They are cute and they complete the kitchen now, we also bought a nice abstract wall frame for the living room! We move around more furnitures in the house and they look so much better now....will take pics once we add more pieces into the whole house!

And also I want to show my new everyday 'caddy' I found this holder at a dollar store! It has 3 slots, looks so organized when its not haha! I put all my makeup that I reach for everyday! From right to left: Slot1: I have my 2 fave lipglosses (chanel and sephora), Loccitane eyeshadow duo, Mac concealer, Rimmel face primer. Slot2: Mac StudioFix NC40, WetnWild pallete, Sally Hansen cream blush, Estee Lauder eyeshadow duo sample. Slot3: Blush brush, crease brush, eyebrush, hair comb, udpp, lashblast mascara, eyelash curler, Posh kabuki brush!

And before I forgot here is my first look for the New Year! My New Year's Eve look! Simple nothing fancy but BF said he loves it :P!
