Valentine Nails?! I'm a Chef?!

So Valentine's Day is on a Monday this year. It really suck because now that I have someone to spend that special day and duhhhh we both work hmp! Oh well we decided to postponed it on our days off, Friday it is! We will go have our dinner date on our fave restaurant, go home then relax, maybe pop in a romantic movie hmm maybe have a glass of wine, thennnnn celebrate our love all night long bwahahah jk! Well we are all adults here so y'all know what I mean! LOL!

Valentines is all about reds, pinks, hearts, etc but for me I want to change it up a little so for Valentines my nail color will be something like Tiffany blue with sparkles! I thought its a cute combo! I used China Glaze's "For Audrey" and Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear in "Strobe Light #11" Excuse my oh so dry not-done cuticles I still have to do a real manicure and pedicure in a nail salon since I'm itching to get one this wkend :)



Last Friday on my day off I drag my Boyfriend and my baby girl to eat at this restaurant called "Idol Asian Cuisine"! My co-worker recommend it to me and brag how good the food there! Surprisingly I love the food! You pick and cook your food in the middle of the table! BF and I had so much fun even Lauren had a blast eating there! They call it Korean BBQ but in some places they call it "Shabu-shabu" oh well I guess we will be back there again soon :)

Family Dinner

Last wkend (Saturday) we went to Charlee's Restaurant and Lounge to celebrate my brother's bday and my sis-inlaw's bday! Double celebration indeed! Plus we watched my brother play drums in his pretty cool band "Side F/X" wooot! Nowadays my family only get together with dinners or lunches when there is special occasions like bdays and holidays, so we dont see all that much anymore! By the way....picture heavy, well not really lol!

Lately.......

Well hello! lol! Of course I am updating my blog finally.....but OMG its so hectic for the past couple of weeks for me! First of all, I got a job offer as a Associate Lab Technician at the world's largest eyewear company! I feel so blessed to be part of it! So anyways I quit my old job and started this new job the following week and the week in between, me and my daughter finally moved in to my boyfriend's house! See?! so busy and there are always things going on in my hands this past few days! I feel so exhausted! I hate moving! Just the thought of packing everything and thennnnnnn unpack is crazy ridiculous! grrrr! And our weather here in Winnipeg is freaking North Pole that don't cooperate with our moving time ha! My dad help us with my big things like my bed and my dresser. Its been couple wks now but i still have boxes everywhere in the house staring at me to unpack them but its just im so exhausted from work because i'm not used to working nights *sigh* but once i get used to my new work schedule I have all this projects to do around the house lined up ahaha!

New Things....

This is just a quick post because someone is too lazy to work on an actual blogpost in the computer and upload pictures from the camera....yUp ME! So pardon me if this will be short or NOT! And also pics are blurry/crap I'm using my BB to update this! Hmmm! Oh well...LOL!

This new year I won't be doing any resolution but its nice to change up and commit into something better to yourself! And so I told myself I will extra take care of my skin! Its gross when I look at the mirror and my cheeks and nose is flaking dry but at work its so freaking oily on my chin and t-zone, I mean wuts up with that?! Ahaha! So I did my research and obviously Clinique 3steps came up! I tried this b4 and it didn't work for me because I had break outs in the past so I stop using it! I switch to Pro-activ but it keeps my face so dry but pimple free though! Clinique lady in the counter suggested the Dramatically Different Moisturizer in GEL! Not the Lotion because apparently its way too rich for my skin and that maybe caused for me to break out before! Gave me a lil sample to try out and after a week I'm SOLD! My skin was softer and smoother! Flake free on our harsh winter! I noticed too that I'm not too oily on my tzone and chin anymore at work! Also at the Clinique counter she suggested me to try out the wash away Cleanser! Don get me wrong I love my Clean and Clear Makeup Dissolving Foam but when I tried the Clinique I am amazed! It takes off makeup it one easy step, leaves the skin clean, refresh and so much better :P! Price wise? It ain't cheap! But when I llok around in the drugstore for a good daily moisturizer they cost around $20CDN! The Clinique Moisturizer (gel) 125ml cost $31CDN+taxes and the Cleanser cost $23CDN+taxes! I mean its a good buy nonetheless its important the have health skin anyway! Right?! I'm hoping to keep this up not only this year ahaha!

So next...I also went to MAC but not the same day I went to Clinique but I think a week after! I want to check out the new collections but nah didn't amuse me much but I liked one Lipgloss! They are called "Kissable Lipcolour" the lip container is slimmer to their Dazzleglass/Cremesheen glass but I think u'll get the same amount on their Lipglass! I got the shade of "super"! (Better pics next time!) Its a pretty shade of natural pink but on the brown side :/ if that makes any sense duh! Then I got eyeshadow in "brule`" I wanted a highlight on my browbone but I don't want any shimmer so this one is perfect! I also did a back2mac and I got "all that glitters" (not pictured) I love the shade I just don't know y I don't have it in my MAC e/s collection because its a pretty color!

Last thing...on amazon.ca I got the book "toddlers gone wild" by Rebecca Eckler! If you are a mommy like me then I recommend reading this book and also her first one "wiped"! Its a fun book! I love it! One of the things I wanna do more this year is to read books! At least 12 books in a year, works out to be 1book in a month! Sounds like I could do that! Its only January and this is my 3rd book already! I'm on track!

So in summary: Healthy skin and more books to read in 2011!

Wow! I can't believe this is the first day of this year! I hope I will have a good 2011 ahead of me! I won't be having a New Years Resolution because for sure I will break them in a week or two lol!! But there is going to be a major change though in my life and if you are reading my previous post couple months ago I mentioned, me and my daughter will be moving in at my BF's house at the end of this month ughhh actually I'm getting really excited! Last Wednesday me and my love went to Best Buy looking for a brandnew TV! We want either Samsung or LG but we decided to get the LG 42" TruSlim Frame Plasma TV, so perfect and we both love it! We also started to buy some minor house decorations like a little frame that has "cafe de paris" courtesy of Winners! I love that store all their house decor and everything have reasonable prices! I put the frame beside the kitchen counter where the wine and fruit basket which I found them at a thrift store for cheap! :) They are cute and they complete the kitchen now, we also bought a nice abstract wall frame for the living room! We move around more furnitures in the house and they look so much better now....will take pics once we add more pieces into the whole house!

And also I want to show my new everyday 'caddy' I found this holder at a dollar store! It has 3 slots, looks so organized when its not haha! I put all my makeup that I reach for everyday! From right to left: Slot1: I have my 2 fave lipglosses (chanel and sephora), Loccitane eyeshadow duo, Mac concealer, Rimmel face primer. Slot2: Mac StudioFix NC40, WetnWild pallete, Sally Hansen cream blush, Estee Lauder eyeshadow duo sample. Slot3: Blush brush, crease brush, eyebrush, hair comb, udpp, lashblast mascara, eyelash curler, Posh kabuki brush!

And before I forgot here is my first look for the New Year! My New Year's Eve look! Simple nothing fancy but BF said he loves it :P!

26th of December is shopping day time here in Canada! We call it Boxing day! Kinda like the "Black Friday" in States! But some people they just want to stay in and get some house chores done or just join the crowd lining up to look whats on sale in stores!


On the same day 3 yrs ago I gave birth to a baby girl....my Lauren Christen! Dec 26 to me is no longer just my shopping day but me and my family make sure that we get together and have lunch or dinner to celebrate her birthday! This year me, Lauren and the BF went for Bday breakfast at Denny's, then we did a little bit of our "boxing day" shopping! Mall was hollymollyjolly pack with people ugghh gave me migraine ahaha but I admit I had fun shopping with my 2 loves! BF bought a 7footer Christmas tree for next year and I'm excited to decorate the tree lol! It was a good deal since all the Christmas stuff are all 60% off! I bought my daughter a spiffy shirt for her Birthday and a cute hairclips :P I got small things while at the mall too but nothing exciting! I want to shop more but we are running out of time! We went to pick up my daughter's bday cake at this awesome bakery in the city called Bake Expectations! ohhhh the cake is delish nomnom! We went to Royal Forks Buffet for dinner with the family! Overall today is an awesome day! Tiring but fun!

Again....Happy Birthday to my one and only babylove I love her soooo much and my life is not the same without her! She's my life! :)

One Year (Part 2)

Part2 from our 1year Anniversary lol....we keep postponing our Anniversary dinner but last Friday we went out to Corydon Village and dined at Saffron's Restaurant. The place is alright, lots of bad reviews on food and service but some liked just the atmosphere of the place! Ugh we should've went to our fave restaurant but BF wants to change it up a bit lol!


I will contribute on my 2cent on their food at Saffron's, we order appetizers the BF ordered chicken wings which aint bad then I ordered Calamari and lookie I was surprised the way it looked u barely see the calamari :( And for main menu I ordered the Thai coconut shrimp/scalloped noodles! Soooo disappointed! Taste exactly like coconut oil with wasabi! Bf ordered Greek pasta and he said he liked it but nothing special to it.... same as our dessert ahm we orders a slice of cheesecake but its just a normal cheesecake! Oh well at least we tried but the area is lovely! After dinner we walk around Corydon Village, soooo cold that day brrr snowing a little bit! For me its just romantic to just walk with your love one, talking and hold hands and just strolling around together :)


We exchanged gifts couple weeks ago and he got me some cute keyring with "love" engraved on a key shape key lol! It got a heart pink crystal too and a lil wing on the keychain sooo adorable! Also he gave me this necklace....i love the pendant its just cute noh! :) Purple heart and I think its made of glass and inside it has glitters that sparkles when it hit the lights! He knows I love anything heart on my accessories! Oh my present to him is just a chargeable travel shaver! Its so compact that he can bring it when he travel haha! He used it the next day and he said he loves how small it is but still works like a normal shaver yeey!

"Vanity"

Hey everyone just a quick post on these Wet and Wild eyeshadow pallete in "Vanity"! I was not sure if I am going to get them or not but it was on sale at Walmart couple weeks ago for 3bucks so I snag just one to try out! I tried them couple times already and I was really surprise how pigmented they are! I swatch em and lookie its just looooove! No fall outs and really smooth to blend! I went back to Walmart today to get the other palletes but danng they aren't on sale anymore! But for $5.97 regular its still cheap compare to other palletes! I prefer these over ELF eyeshadows! I definitely recommend to you guys to check it out! :)

One Year

Me and the Bf made it for a whole year...well its tomorrow but yeeey! I am excited for tomorrow we are going out to our work's Christmas Party so we will have fun there, I hope! He told me he got something for me and I really have no idea what it is, we will find out tomorrow! lol! I hate surprises ahgrr! I got something little for him too but nothing special but he said he'll appreciate whatever it is! And also we might just have our own dinner next week on our days off in our fave restaurant in the city to celebrate our anniversary all week long...nice eh! LOL!

Our timeline:
I basically met him through work! I started working at my current job last year September but I haven't notice him yet, end of October when we started having small talks and by middle of November we are talking on Facebook chat and he wants to ask me out for lunch outside of work but at that time I wasn't so sure if i want to date anyone but my friends who knew my life story told me I should move on and start something new with my life! I said yes to go with him when he ask me as his date at work's Christmas Party! It went well and we hit it off , to make the story short....its a mutual thing! The feeling of just like became love! Tomorrow is our one year mark of our first date and we decided that we make it official as our Anniversary date! Make sense anyway because thats all it took for me to know him and a few more dates after that lol! We both for sure have ups and downs for the past year...its not always sweet as a cupcake! I admit we fight minor things like he said she said nonsense this and that but oh well I guess its normal for couples who fights small stuff!


When it comes to my daughter Lauren....its hard for me to just push her into liking someone! It's very important to me for them to know each other! Especially some guy that isn't related to her! She's used to my dad and my brothers but not to a stranger but I have to introduced them eventually! I remember they first met at the mall before Christmas and Lauren was all shy and didn't say much to him! But overtime that I spend more time with him he is also spending more time with my daughter and now he became Lauren's Dad instantly! When I see him with Lauren I can tell that he cares and loves her! So proud of him the way he handled things like when my daughter is crying, acting up throwing tantrums...he knows how to take care of it, he's natural on being a dad I guess lol!


I am so lucky that we have him in me and my daughter's life, he is indeed the best boyfriend ever! With both of them in my side I am happy and content! <3
